An official belonging to HR & CE expressed his views. He spoke about how SOP is being worked out now and how devotees above 65 age and below 10 would not be allowed inside temples. It must be taken into note that pregnant women would be barred from entering inside any temple.  There would be hand sanitizer dispensers and provisions for thermal scanning at the temple entrances. Those who are asymptomatic would be allowed inside the temple premises.

Wearing a mask is must inside the temple and the devotees must wash their hands and legs before entering the temple. Inside the temple, there would not be any prasadam distribution plus sprinkling of holy water on the devotees etc. Group singing or reciting slokas inside the temples would not be allowed.

It is known that in many temples in TN many devotees sing inside the temples during monthly festivals etc and this would be banned totally. The official explained about how the temple premises would have to be sanitized at regular intervals. The management of the temple would take up the responsibility of regular cleaning and disinfection of the temple. Floors of the temples would be cleaned many times.

The sanctus sanctorum in many temples in TN is air-conditioned and it is now said that guidelines of CPWD would be followed. Point is the temperature setting of all air-conditioning devices would be in the range of 24 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius.

The arrangements would be such that there would be intake of fresh air as much as possible with cross ventilation. Local SOP for the tourists is being worked out now. Information is several suggestions have been received from many big temples in TN.

Managing the crowd in these big tempos is given importance. Many discussions have been going on to prevent crowding at a time inside the temple. It is now mentioned that there might be just 2 gates one for devotees entering and the other one for devotees leaving.
