Those with co-morbid conditions have succumbed to Corona virus more in TN says analysis

As many as 118 persons have died in TN due to Corona virus infection. The government had analysed these deaths and have come out with the fact that 99 of those 118 persons who have passed away had co-morbidities in them. This comes to 84 percent. It was mentioned that 19 persons or 16 percent who have passed sway did not have any conditions. The state of TN presently has got a total of 17,082 Corona virus positive cases.
It has been brought to light by the health minister, Mr. C. Vijayabhaskar that diabetes and BP were responsible for the deaths. It was revealed by the analysis that 55 persons who died were aged above 60 and other 55 persons were in the age group 41 to 60.
In the 21-40 age groups, there were just 8 persons and 69% who had passed away were men. The death audit team studied the Corona virus cases from all the districts of TN and this was as per the health minister.
It is now said that the analysis had matched the scientific understanding that Corona virus infection affects elderly, those with co-morbid conditions and vulnerable persons. Yesterday, in TN, 805 fresh Covid-19 positive cases got reported is known.
