Space for third front, says Akhilesh

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that there is space and scope to build a third force at the Centre. The Samajwadi Party leader was on a visit to Chennai. He also made a ‘courtesy call’ to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.
Mr. Yadav inaugurated the Vanniyar youth festival organized by the PMK (Pattali Makkal Katchi) – backed Vanniyar Sangam. Speaking to journalists, he said that both the Congress and the BJP has failed the people on many counts. He said that their policies were not ‘pro poor’
‘The process for making Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh head of a third force and possibly, Prime Minister should begin from the south. The political initiative for such an eventuality should begin with your support,’ he said.
