For all these years at the CMBT in Koyambedu, the MTC buses have been creating huge traffic congestion. This has been making the lives of many passengers difficult and many complaints were received by MTC regarding this congestion.

Point is after receiving these complaints from the commuters at the Koyambedu bus terminus MTC has now shifted the entry point for its buses. By this, congestion would be eased.

In the peak hours of time, the traffic congestion has become more here because of the flyover work that has been going on in front of CMBT on Jawaharlal Salai. As a result of this work, MTC buses were held up in traffic congestion and this has resulted in severe hardship for the commuters. The commuters were missing their connecting buses.

It was brought out by a resident of Nanganallur that it took 20 to 30 minutes for the MTC buses to reach the bus terminus. According to a senior official belonging to MTC, it is clear that flyover work has been holding up MTC buses from Vadapalani for several minutes. It is known that there were many complaints made by the drivers and conductors of MTC buses to the management regarding their trip timings going out of control.

It must be noted that near the Kalaiamman Koil Street Junction both entries as well as exit were present till now. The important information is MTC officials have shifted the entrance to the bus terminus by demolishing a portion of the compound wall. This was carried out after MTC officials had discussions with the traffic police personnel.
