In Chennai, the temperature on Monday was 41.5 degrees, highest in this year till now

For the next two days, the weathermen had predicted heat wave conditions in many parts of TN including Chennai. It is brought out that staying indoors would be the best solution. This is as per the Indian Meteorological Department or IMD advisory. To avoid getting sunstroke, IMD had warned the people not to get in contact with direct sunlight in the day time.
The sensational piece of information that has come out now is on Monday, 10th June 2019, Nungambakkam recorded the maximum temperature of 41.5 degree Celsius and that was the highest temperature recorded in this year till now.
It was pointed out by some weather experts that such high temperatures recorded was due to the hot and dry winds from the west and from the northwest regions where southwest monsoons had not advanced. At isolated pockets over TN, Chennai heat wave condition is likely to prevail. This was according to the forecast issued by RMC. These isolated places include Chennai, Thiruvallur, Vellore, Kancheepuram plus in other places like Thiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, Karur, Trichy, Perambalur, and Villupuram districts. It was mentioned by the forecast that people must avoid direct contact with the sunlight between 11 am and 4 pm in the evening.
In the Chennai city, in the last few days, the mornings have been dry and hot followed by breezy and humid afternoons. The nights have been warmer in Chennai city is known. Popular weather blogger, Mr. Pradeep John expressed his views and spoke about how the westerlies are strong and is hot and dry. This is due to the fact that the monsoons had not spread to regions like Maharashtra, AP etc from where the winds are blowing. He explained that after the monsoon advances over these regions, there might be drop in the temperatures by one or two degrees after 2 or 3 days. He finally revealed about how the weather would continue to remain hot.
The important point is on Sunday Meenambakkam weather station recorded a temperature of 43 degree Celsius and that was the highest for Chennai city’s suburbs. The weather station at Nungambakkam recorded 40.1 degree Celsius. It is now revealed that the temperature on Monday was 41.5 degrees Celsius at Nungambakkam as well as for Meenambakkam and that was 5 degrees above the normal. For the next 24 hours of time, RMC in Chennai had predicted the sky condition to be partly cloudy and maximum and minimum temperatures to be 41 degree Celsius and 30 degree Celsius.
