It is now revealed that in the second week of June month Chennai might get thunderstorms. Presently the extreme heat is making the lives of Chennai residents very difficult is known. The point to be noted is this upcoming thunder storms in Chennai is likely to provide huge relief for the residents.

The officials belonging to the meteorological department have predicted that the southwest monsoon is likely to move northwards and this might result in the rains in the city of Chennai.

It is important to mention that the southwest winds are strong over the southeast Arabian Sea and a sheer zone is prevailing over the extreme parts of the peninsular region. Along the western coast there is also the presence of trough. It was pointed out by an official that in next week the southwest monsoon might move towards northward and the Chennai city could expect some thunderstorms. He further added that the sky above would be cloudy in the city of Chennai. The official finally hinted that if the thunderstorms take place around 13th June and 14th June then the temperature might decrease gradually.

Important point is Chennai city has got maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 29 degree Celsius presently. It is now revealed that in the state of TN Kanyakumari and other parts are likely to get thunder storms.
