TN students performance in NEET 2019 is praiseworthy

Who said students from Tamil Nadu cannot perform well in NEET or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test?

It is known that NEET is an important test that is conducted for admitting the students in various medical colleges in India. NEET results were announced yesterday is known.

The amazing information is as many as 59,785 students from TN have cleared NEET this year and by this the qualifying percentage has been increased to 48.57% from 39.56%. Last year in 2018, just 2 students belonging to TN got above 600 marks out of total 720 is well known. In this 2019 as many as 135 students have scored above 600 marks. It must be noted that in the last year just 213 students scored between 500 and 600 and in this year the number of students who have scored between 500 and 600 has increased to 1194 that is 5 times.

As per an official belonging to National Testing Agency, overall 14,297 students belonging to TN have scored 300 and above in this year. The state of TN must feel happy and proud that a student named Shruthi. K scored 685 out of 720 this year and by this she has got all India rank of 57 now. The superb information is she has now got 10th rank among all the female candidates who took NEET 2019. She then expressed her happiness regarding scoring high marks in NEET and said hard work and dedication were 2 important factors that would help any student to crack NEET. Finally Shruthi revealed that her preference was to study in JIPMER Pondicherry.

The sensational piece of news is many students belonging to the state board schools in TN have scored above 600 marks in 2019. The secretary of SRV Schools belonging to Namakkal and Trichy, Mr. P. Swaminathan, expressed his happiness and spoke about how 2 students from his school got above 600 in NEET this year. He then added that as many as 18 students scored above 500. He explained about how many state board schools hired experts from other states to train the students and introduced NEET coaching for old students.

According to Mr. Chandan Chand of Aakash Institute, Chennai, in terms of performances the students from TN are already competing with those belonging to other states. He revealed that from his institute alone as many as 30 students have got above 600 this year in NEET. Later he spoke about how due to more number of seats available, those students who have got above 450 marks would get admission in good medical colleges now.  The superb information collected is TN has the 3rd highest applicants for NEET this year at 1.23 lakhs and it has the 6th highest number of students who have qualified the exam.
