Andhra State Awards announced

The Andhra Pradesh State Awardees for the year 2011 were announced on Wednesday. Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan will receive the prestigious NTR Award instated after the legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao.
Noted Telugu film personalities Kaikala Sathyanarayana and Raghupathy Venkaiah will also receive awards. The P. Nagi Reddy Chakrapani award will go to producer G. Adhiseshagiri Rao, will also happens to be actor Krishna’s brother.
Shyam Benegal will receive the B.N. Reddy Award for his contribution to cinema in the fields of screenplay, dialogue, direction and production.
Mr. Bachchan will receive Rs. 5 lakhs in addition to the award and the others will be given Rs. 2 lakhs along with the award.
