In the next week, there might be mild rains in TN

The heat has become unbearable in many parts of the state of Tamil Nadu now and people belonging to these places in TN have been suffering a lot from the scorching heat is well known. In this scenario a superb piece of news that has come is in the next week that there might be mild rains in some parts of TN. This was according to the forecast made by both Skymet and IMD or Indian Meteorological Department. It is now said that this rain might bring some relief for the people.

On 7th May 2019, most parts of TN including Chennai city would receive rains as well as thunder showers due to the fact that trough is expected to strengthen. It must be noted that this trough extends from Comorin to Karnataka including parts of Rayalseema. This was as per the forecast made by Skymet.

For the next 48 hours of time, IMD has not predicted any rains in the Chennai city but it has revealed that the sky condition would be partly cloudy. On Tuesday, light rain is likely to occur in the isolated places in TN. The important point is the upper air trough is expected to strengthen and it would result in scattered rains in parts of the state of TN in 24 hours. This upper air trough is expected to strengthen further and it would increase the spread of rain in the subsequent 24 hours.

It is important to note that a cyclonic circulation lies over interior TN and neighbourhood at 1.5 km above the sea level. This was according to an inference from IMD. There is also a trough that runs from Comorin to Chattisgarh across Telangana and Rayalseema at 0.9 km above the mean sea level. This was also mentioned in the inference of IMD. Point is this system is expected to bring some respite from the extreme heat.

On Sunday, the maximum temperatures in the core areas belonging to Chennai city were 36.5 degree Celsius. In the southern as well as in the northern suburbs, there was a heat wave and it made the lives of many people difficult. It must be noted that Meenambakkam recorded 39.1 degree Celsius and Tiruttani recorded a temperature of 42.5 degree Celsius.

The sensational information is Tiruttani that has been recording very high temperatures in the last few days received 12 mm of rains on Saturday bringing huge relief for many people.
