As deadly Cyclone Fani moves up, 1st real sizzling day of summer for Tamil Nadu is expected in most parts of Tamil Nadu with most places expected to cross 40 C while Vellore-Tiruttanti belt is going to see 43-44 C from today

Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Virudhunagar will record around42 C
Madurai, Namakkal Trichy, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Sivagana, will sizzle with over 41-42 c while all stations such as Karur, Salem, Dharmapuri, Erode, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, will all record over 40-41 C
Only respite Kanyakumari, Coimbatore and Tiruppur will escape the heat. All other ones will get caught in the heat.
Chennai outskirts will sizzle with over 41-42 c

Chennai will see around 40 C.. The western parts of Chennai and suburbs such as Ambattur, Poonamalle, Avadi, Redhills, Oragadam, Mannivakkam and all others will see very hot day with over 41-42 C. The more the land is away from sea the more the hotter it is. By evening sea breeze will come to rescue us.

Since it is a dry heat, carry an umbrella and keep drinking lots of water. Nothing special needs to be done. Just dont expose yourself directly to the sun.
Reason for hot weather

As cyclone fani moves up, the land breeze from North West which is too dry is pushed to TN coastal and nearby districts. The heat over rayalseema will be advected to Tamil Nadu.
