Further, it may drift towards northeast and then transform into a cyclone named Fani. This may cause heavy rain in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu.
In this situation, while mentioning about the route of movement of the cyclone, IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) they observed that the low-pressure zone has transformed into a deep depression zone. This is located at southeast of Chennai at a distance of 1210 km. It is drifting at a speed of 20 kmph.
This will transform into a cyclone fani in 12 hours. On 30th April, during evening, this s cyclone will cross the coast between North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra. Durin the cyclone powerful winds may blow at 120 to 145 kmph.
