To help hearing impaired, app on sign languages launched in Chennai

People who are hearing impaired face many issues in their daily lives are known. To help these hearing impaired the famous Larsen & Toubro has joined hands with DEF or Deaf Enabled Foundation in Chennai city. Their association has now resulted in Indian Sign Languages or ISL mobile app DEF-ISL.

To make the learning of sign language easy, interesting and accessible is very important and now with the help of this new app these would be possible and many hearing impaired persons would get benefitted. The amazing information collected is this app could be used by both children as well as by the adults. This mobile app has got more than 5000 easy to understand signs and phrases, in-built videos, illustrations etc. It is important to note that this customised app is available for download on both IOs and Android platforms.

By using this mobile app those persons who do not have any hearing impairment would be able to communicate easily with those who are hearing impaired by learning the sign language.

It was later pointed out by Mr. S.N. Subrahmanyan who is the chief executive officer and managing director of Larsen & Toubro that the mobile app brings digitalization to help the hearing impaired live a better life.
