This 10 day Panguni Perivizha is one of the highly anticipated festivals of this popular temple in Mylapore is well known. On day 8 of the 10 day festival is arubathimoovar festival and on this 8th day the idols of as many as 63 Shaivite Nayanmanrs would be brought out in the procession. On Monday, 18th March this would take place and many traffic changes have been made already in this place.

It is sensational to mention here that arubathimoovar or the 8th day of the Panguni Peruvizha attracts the biggest crowd. This 10 day long festival concludes with Thirukalyanam. It is revealed that this amazing festival brings many residents of Mylapore together to celebrate the festival with huge enthusiasm. Kapaleeswarar temple has got a very big tank is well known to all. The 10 day long Panguni Peuvizha has resulted in openings of hundreds of pavement shops selling toys, beads, artificial jewellery etc around the tank. On Sunday many visitors were given food and water along the route of the car.
