Founded in 1992, MOP. Vaishnav College for Women is highly popular college in the Chennai city. On Saturday, 16th March 2019, MOP. Vaishnav college celebrated its 24th graduation day is known.
The amazing information collected is Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali or Prince of Arcot was the cynosure of many eyes on that special day as he was the chief guest for the event.
The students present on the stage were so happy and they shook hands with the chief guest and principal of this college. They received their certificates and then posed for their photos and these students were cheered by their friends and relatives etc.
The chief guest Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali spoke about the importance of education and said education is the powerful source to bring rapid changes to a society. For the development of a community also education plays an important role and is a key tool. He threw light on how for the socio-economic development of a nation the minorities must move forward. He finally added that the students have got great potential for the above to take place.
The point is totally as many as 937 undergraduate plus 226 PG students got their certificates on that day. The superb piece of news is there was 100 percent pass in 5 courses and more than 90 percent pass were seen in 13 courses. There were 2 courses where the pass percentage was more than 80%.
The important point to be noted is education of a woman is very important and it would further boost the growth of a country. It is brought out that women who are literate would be able to bring out development more vibrant and constructive. Educated women must not be selfish but they must play their part in helping those women who were neglected by the society.
