Scorching sun to persist in the interior districts

The Chennai Meteorological Centre officials explained regarding the weather that the normal winds blowing from the east towards Tamil Nadu and its interior districts are rather weak. Hence, there has been a scorching summer season experience in many cities over the last few days. As recorded at 5.30 PM yesterday (14th March), the maximum temperature of 104 Degrees at Tiruthani.

There are prospects of the temperature for further shooting up by up to 7 Degrees for the next few days at Vellore, Krishnagiri, Thiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Trichy, Perambalur, Karur, and Dindigul.
