Temp to Rise in interior parts of Tamil Nadu with offshore winds and increase in landbreeze. First 40 C of the year in Interior Tamil Nadu can be expected in the next 5 days.

The picture enclosed will give you an idea why there will be increase in Temp in Tamil Nadu.
1. Strong Offshore winds - It makes sure easterlies / Seabreeze does not come into land to cool the temp.
2. Landbreeze - You can see westerlies in land it will carry hot winds from one area to another.
3. NW winds - The NW travels lot of land area and transports all the hot air once it reaches maharashtra - Karnataka and Rayalseema.

Lets learn what is a heat wave. Heat wave need not be considered till maximum temperature of a station reaches at least 40º C. Heat Wave Departure from normal is 5º C to 6º C.
Eg. Lets assume a normal of a place on March 5 is 32 C. But it records 37 C. There is a departure of +5 C so we can call it an Heat Wave.
