Power cut for 45000 hours

Around there was a power cut for a total period of 45389 hours in the power generation centres in various cities in Tamil Nadu over the last 1 year. This has been due to various reasons including maintenance work.
In order to estimate the extent of the power loss, the central government has installed energy meters on various locations across the transmission routes with the help of the Department of Telecommunications. With this, it would be possible to find the number of incidences of the power cut, the period of the power cut, etc.
Accordingly, it has been found that during the period from 1st March 2017 to 28th February 2018, there were 87305 incidences of power cuts. The power was cut for a total duration of 48389 hours in this period.
