Chennai chills down with northeast monsoon showers

As the northeast monsoon has begun in Tami Nadu, across Chennai, there are rain showers observed at various localities.
In the recent past, Chennai has been observing scorching sun. This had disappointed the people a lot. Furthermore, while there was delay in northeast monsoon, now there is a low pressure in Bay of Bengal.
Due to this low pressure in Bay of Bengal, Chennai is receiving rain showers in various areas. This includes Ambattur, Avadi, Koyambedu, Kodambakkam, Adambakkam, T.Nagar, Vadapalani, etc.
The city has been experiencing too hot weather in the past few weeks, and this rain spell has come as a respite! People are excited and chilled to feel the cool weather.
From 20th this month, the weather conditions are to be ideally suitable for northeast monsoon rains, says metrology officials.
