Weather update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

Thunderstorms are back in Interior / South Tamil Nadu in coming days

With Cyclone Titli gone and MJO favorable for rains in our basin, the winds will again start to change from westerlies to easterlies, this will once again result in intense Thunderstorms in the interior Tamil Nadu. The winds from east and west meet in the interiors and give good rains (convergence). Remember for coast to get widespread rains there should be a UAC (Upper Air Circulation) or LPA (Low pressure Area) in Bay of Bengal. So wee need to wait for one more week for that to happen.
Most of the interiors in TN will get atleast two days of rains in the coming week.

Western interiors, south TN and Kerala are prime regions for rainfall in coming week. North interiors like Vellore too will get rains. I am not mentioning any districts as most of the interiors will get rains. There is chance of heavy rainfall in western interiors
Kerala - Good rains expected in the coming days in particular Wayanad, Idukki, Pathanmitttha will get rains. So will other districts too. But again no fear of floods.
Chennai - Mornings there will be chance daily as the convergence shifts close to coast in the mornings. But nothing major expected in coming days.
Bangalore - Might see two or three rainy days in the coming week.
North East Monsoon onset - Nothing clear seen in the coming week. So once again after the wonderful 1st week of October where onset was missed we will see now a delayed onset. But onset does not matter anyway its just a technical announcement.
So great days ahead for Thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
