All Post Offices in Tamil Nadu to be modernized before 30th September

It has been decided to link all the Post Offices in Tamil Nadu with the Darpan Plan and modernize.
The main objective of the Darpan Plan is to integrate all the 1.29 Lakh Post Offices in rural areas throughout the country and to facilitate the online transaction of money and posts. A mobile App has been introduced for this purpose.
So far, 62000 Branch Post Offices have been linked with this App.
There is a plan to link all the Post Offices in Tamil Nadu with this App before 30th September.
Especially, the postal zones of Chennai – Arkonam, Chingleput, Kanchipuram, Vellore, and Central zone – Kumbakonam, Mayilaaduthurai, Nagappatinam, and Cuddalore will all be linked with the App.
In the South Zone, Karaikkudi, Sivagangai, Theni, Dindigul, and in the West Zone, Pollachi, Coimbatore, Salem West, East Post offices will all be linked with Darpan before 30th September.
With this Darpan Plan, the customers can pay their premium on their insurance policy from whichever corner of the country they reside.
A hand-held device will be used in the Post Offices for this purpose. Through this, other services such as Speed Post, Money Order Booking, etc., can easily be undertaken.
