Try these ways to keep the newborn baby from falling sick

The birth of a newborn brings huge happiness and joy for the parents and their families. These newborns are cute and delicate and many of us want to take the newborn in our hands. There are few things that we must keep in our minds before getting the newborn exposed to outside. The moment the newborn arrive in this world, their organs start functioning fully. Inspite of having certain immunity these newborn babies are prone to diseases. The chances of illness are increased as these newborn babies cannot regulate their body temperatures. Right after their birth, newborns are not expected to become sick as they have got antibodies from the mother. After one or two months of time, the babies might become sick and we must be careful.

There are few ways by which we could keep the newborn from getting sick. These are

By keeping the newborn baby warm:

The newborn babies cannot regulate their body temperature and it might take some time for the baby to know about that. It is our responsibility to keep the new born baby warm in optimum temperature. In this aspect skin-to-skin contact plays a huge role. The feeling of being inside the womb of a mother is got by wrapping the baby. By this the newborn would feel happy. Immunity would develop.

By washing our hands well:

We love to take the newborn in our hands. Before doing this we must wash our hands well with soap and water.By this we can prevent germs from our hands entering the newborns. Health of the baby is very important and we must ask even others to wash their hands before they take the baby in their hands.

Never allow strangers to kiss the newborn:           

This is also very important way and it must be followed without fail. The strangers might have some infection in them and by kissing the baby the infection might pass on to the baby also.

By breast feeding the newborn:

Protecting the baby from outside is important. More than that protecting the baby from inside is very important and breastfeeding the newborn baby is fantastic.  For the baby to have strong immune system and superb health, breastfeeding is vital.

Never miss vaccinations:

The baby would get natural shield when it is given proper vaccination at correct time. Hence following the vaccination schedule is important. The newborns would get protection from diseases such as tetanus, whooping cough etc by vaccination.

By doing laundry frequently:

Doing both baby’s laundry plus the laundry of those who comes in contact with the baby is important. The stress on the laundry load could be avoided by using certain set of common clothes when the person is in contact with the baby.
