Heavy and extreme rains today: Kerala, ghat areas of Tamil Nadu & Karnataka

Almost all stations have crossed 100 mm in most places in Kerala and ghats have recorded double of that and the clouds remain so stagnant from yesterday morning.
Mullaiperiyar Dam inflow has increased to 35680 cusecs. i cant believe this much of inflow. Should be a record and dam is nearing 141 feet. If the excess water goes to Idukki then more the problem there.
Today too very heavy and extreme rains to continue nonstop in Kerala and ghat areas of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
This is once in lifetime rains.
Chennai will see perfect weather and light rains / drizzly weather will continue till evening and occasional rainy spells is also possible.
