Chennai on the verge of wettest day of the year
------------------------------
Lets start with Chennai, the rains are going to be on and off rains with breaks till tomorrow noon / evening. Till now chennai has got 50 mm and on the verge of beating the 60 mm recorded on 3rd July this year. If it beats that, it will be the wettest day of the year.

On the other side rains are unrelting in Kerala, the type of rains i havent seen since i started tracking weather. In Tamil nadu too particularly Entire ghat from Coimbatore to Kanyakumari has been getting un relenting rains.

Bhavanisagar dam will overflow tomorrow as the catchment areas are pounded by super duper rains till evening itself Avalanche was inching towards 200 mm rainfall mark. Tomorrow figures are going to be huge

Papanasam dam too is expected to overflow tomorrow or the day after. Servalar Dam is getting 26000 cusecs inflow. Cant believe it. Gadana

Periyar Dam in Theni too will overflow in a day or two.  With this except (Manimuthar and Pechiparai) all dams in Tamil Nadu in western ghats would have over flown.

Rains have relented a bit in Wayanad but if morning was north  Kerala, now its South Kerala and Idukki is getting once in lifetime rains.

Mettur Dam
------------------
KRS Dam inflow is going to increase, Kabini dam too and then now Amaravathy outflow will join cauvery. But the new addition is the worry. Bhavanisagar Dam overflowing will also add the surplus water into Cauvery.

All 4 dams surplus into Cauvery River !!!!

The bad news is the extreme rains will continue tomorrow too in Kerala / Karnataka and Tamil Nadu ghats.
