2000 Vacancies added for the TNPSC Group-4 examinations

2000 More vacancies have been added to the already announced vacancies for which TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has scheduled to conduct the Group-4 examination.

TNPSC has announced that it has planned to fill up 11000 vacant posts through this Group-4 examination.

On behalf of TNPSC, Group-4 examination was conducted for 9351 posts on 11th February. 17.53 Lakh candidates participated throughout the state. The results of this examination were released day-before-yesterday (Monday, 30th  July) after a gap of 5 months.15200 candidates have passed.

The secretary Nandhakumar and the officers of the TNPSC examination regulations department shared the information that the Group-4 Examination conducted in February 2018 was the largest ever 1-day examination when the maximum number of applications was received. The results have been released now. On the basis of 1:3, that is 1 candidate to be selected out of 3, the candidates will be called for the document/certificate verification.

In the present situation, tentatively 33000 candidates are to be called for document/certificate verification. The list of candidates will be released shortly.

The candidates have to visit the e-service centres as indicated and upload their certificates/documents from 16th August to 30th August.

Once TNPSC completes the activity of document/certificate verification, the counselling for appointment will be conducted in October.

With this Group-4 examination, results, and follow-up activities, 9531 recruitments will be made including the 494 vacant posts of Village Administration Officers (VAO).

It had already been announced that the number of vacancies announced is subject to change. Accordingly, in a recent development, 1959 more vacancies have been added.

The break-up of the various posts – VAO – 1107, Unbonded Junior Assistants – 4722, Bonded Junior Assistants – 226, Tax Collector – 52, Typist – 3974, Stenographer – 931, field analyst – 102, and draughtsman – 156.

Thus there are more than 11270 vacant posts to be recruited.  Even this figure is subject to change until the counselling is conducted.
