New subway at the Central metro station now for the benefit of the commuters

CMRL or Chennai Metro Rail Limited had constructed a new subway inside the Central metro station on the Poonamallee High Road and this subway was opened on Wednesday, 11th July 2018 for the public. This had grabbed the attention of many now. The passengers would be able to reach both the suburban rail and Central station terminals without any problem. Crossing the road through congested traffic would not be there from now on.
It is worthy to note that the subway has been provided with escalators as well as staircase on both the sides of the roads. In addition to the present entrance and exit the subway also has got an exit.
Chennai Metro Rail officials hinted that in the coming months there would be another entry point to the Central metro station. It is now revealed that this Central metro station would have as many as 6 entry points which would be two more than the entry points present in other metro stations.
Another piece of news is lifts would also be available soon and the process of installing the lift is on. Now as many as 3000 people use this Central metro station. This was confirmed by the officials belonging to CMRL.
