Chennai rain update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

Need to come out of mini break as from today Chennai and the KTC belt are going to have a daily chance of Thunderstorms from today and tomorrow night too we have chance for good thunderstorms Rains.
Mostly the rains will happen in the late evenings after sea breeze moving in if this fails to materialize then we have chance of late night rains when storms from inland moving into the City.
Veppa Salanam Rains to start today in Chennai
The monsoon in west coast is all set to become active, this time it is the offshore trough magic not the burst of westerlies. Hence, it will not affect the two hot spot zones for thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu. The two regions which will get inspite of west coast becoming active are
1. Vellore - KTC (Kancheepuram-Tiruvallur-Chennai) belt
2. Pudukottai belt
Chennai Rains - If rains misses today (mostly it wont), tomorrow is almost confirmed rains.
Chennai in particular is going to find a favorable place for convergence today and there will be very good chance for rains. Its always that when Chennai (KTC belt) gets rains most other places in TN go in silent mode.
Enjoy the rains. I might not rain over entire city today. Whereever it rains. its a bonus. We already got our June quota of rainfall. Remember these rains never help in increase on our water levels as they are scattered and never generate inflows. No rains in Chennai by noon or evening.
