The Chennai Meteorological Centre has estimated that there will be heavy rain in most places in Tamil Nadu until 13th May. There are prospects of rain from today in the northern districts.
As a cyclonic format has developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the regions from the northern Karnataka districts to the Tamil Nadu interior districts, there will be persistent heavy rain in several districts in Tamil Nadu.
From today (Thursday, 10th May) until 13th May, there will be mild to heavy rains with thunder in several districts in Tamil Nadu.
There are prospects of heavy rain in the northern coastal areas of Tamil Nadu in the districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, and Pudukkottai.
Chennai will record a maximum temperature of 38 Degrees Celsius.
The districts of Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Karur, Trichy, and Perambalur will record a temperature of 42 Degrees Celsius.
