Coastal Areas face less heat this summer

The April mid period is the peak time of heat waves hitting the regions of Tamil Nadu especially the coastal areas gets much higher reading of temperature. The readings are high in the land bound interior places of Tamil Nadu. Karur, Trichy, Tiruthani and Vellore marked a reading that exceeds or stay closer to 40 Degree Celsius.

To the surprise the temperature in and around the coastal areas are much normal compared to last five years of readings. Meteorological Department of Tamil Nadu told there will be a steady rise in temperature in the interior areas of Tamil Nadu and also confirmed the stable temperature in the Coastal areas like Chennai, Chidambaram, Rameshwaram, Tutucorin etc.

The possibility of thunder showers at certain places during the times of sunset is announced by the officials of Meteorological Department.

Areas like Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam in Chennai hit a marking of 36.1 degree Celsius and 37.6 degree Celsius respectively. This temperature is somewhat a normal record considering extreme heat were the usual scenario of Chennai in the past.

According to the Weather reports the slow increase in dry heat is possible in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu in the upcoming days. The heat can be felt in the day time brought up by western heat winds crossing the ocean and passing towards the coastal sides of Tamil Nadu.
