The entire Tamil film industry to be on a concerted strike on 8th April

The South Indian Film Artists Association has announced to mark its protest against the issues of Cauvery Management Board and the Sterlite factory issue to be organized on 8th April.
The Film Producers’ Association has informed that it will be a strike on a concerted effort by the entire film industry. The announcement details:
The South Indian Film Artista Association, FEFSI, and the Film Distributors’ Association will join together to mark the protest and the demand to set up the Cauvery Management Board and to close the Sterlite Factory on 8th April from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM. The huge moral protest will be conducted near the Chennai Valluvar Kottam.
The joint organizers have requested as this protest concerns the critical issues of the welfare of the farmers and the huge problem of pollution to the environment, and the responsibility for this concerns all of us – the public and the citizens – all groups must participate in this protest.’
