Announcement soon to fill up the 1575 vacancies in TANGEDCO

TANGEDCO officials have informed that the announcements would be made soon to fill up the 1575 vacancies including the posts of Assistant Engineer.
Presently, there are more than 50000 vacancies in TANGEDCO. Because of this, the work-burden on the employees has increased, The Trade Unions haven insisting and protesting to fill up the vacancies early.
Following this, a decision was taken to select – 400 field assistants, 250 junior assistants, 300 electrical technology assistants, 300 civil engineers, and 25 assistant civil engineers
The state minister for electricity, Thangamani, made an announcement regarding this in the Legislative Assembly last June. However, the official announcement from TANGEDCO has not been released so far.
When enquired about this, it is gathered that 375 assistant engineers have been selected. Out of the 2175 vacancies, candidates have been selected for all posts except 525 technical assistants. The announcement regarding the balance 1575 vacancies will be released shortly.
