New system introduced in Tirupathi for Darshan - tickets only for the first 20000 devotees

A new system has been introduced from today (Monday, 17th July) for the devotees who visit the Tirupathi temple by foot – only the first 20000 devotees will be issued Darshan tickets.
The practice of issuing Divya Darshan Tickets to the devotees who undertake the journey by foot via the Alibiri and Srivarimettu mountain routes has been followed over a long period.
Around 30000 devotees visit by foot on weekdays and around 40000 devotees visit by foot on Sundays and other holidays. With the large teeming crowd, the devotees have to with for long hours (10 hours or more) to have a Darshan of the Lord Venkateswara.
With the view to cutting down these long waiting hours, it had been announced earlier that only the first 20000 devotees who come by foot will be issued the Divya Darshan tickets. This system is being implemented from today (17th July).
TTD (Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board) has announced that henceforth, 15000 Divyadarshan tickets will be issued to the devotees who come by foot via Albiri mountain route. 5000 tickets for Divya Darshan will be issued to the devotees who visit by foot via Srivarimetti mountain route. The rest of the devotees who visit by foot will have to join the General Darshan queue.
