Land/plot registration guiding estimate amount reduced by 33%

An information is gathered that the state cabinet ministry has approved to reduce the guiding estimate amount for Land/plot registration by 33%.
A special Legislative Assembly session is scheduled to start from 14th June when discussions will be held on the various grants and subsidies required by different departments.
A cabinet ministry level meeting was held, presided by the Chief Minister E Palanisamy of the announcements to be made department-wise.
The meeting was held in the secretariat and a discussion was held to finalise the department-wise announcements to be made during the ensuing Legislative Assembly Session.
The news regarding the cabinet ministry approval for the reduction of the registration guidance estimate fee by 33% was shared after this meeting.
This was raised during 2012. This rise led to substantial reduction in the number of registrations. So, the revenue earned through this came down. Because of this, the above decision to reduce the bond registration for plot/land guidance estimate amount is reduced by 33%.
During the meeting, discussions regarding GST, to be implemented from 1st July, and the repercussions of GST were taken up.
