A new Children Centre being constructed at Jalladaiyanpettai at a cost of Rs. 22 Lakhs

The new Children Centre Building being constructed in Jalladaiyanpettai near Pallikkaranai at a cost Rs. 22 Lakhs is nearing completion.
The children centre is located at the Perungudi Region, Ward No. 181, in the area called Jalladiayanpettai near Pallikkaranai.
40 students study here. The children centre was built as an asbestos-roofed structure 20 years ago. As the walls were seen to be in a collapsing condition, the Chennai Metro Corporation allocated Rs. 22 Lakhs for the construction of a new centre.
The new building is being constructed in the same location covering an area of 860 sq ft with facilities including toilets and store rooms.
The Chennai Metro Corporation is expediting all balance construction activities.
