Acne sufferers enjoy younger looking skin later

Researchers at the King’s College London made a new study on acne infection and the results are interesting to know. According to the research results, those who suffer from acne infection on their face will enjoy younger looking skin in their older ages.
This involved studying genetic information of women who suffered acne and those who don’t. In women prone to acne, longer telomeres were observed as compared to others who got clear skin. Acne prone women get increased protection for deterioration that happens with aging.
It is long said by researchers that acne sufferers age slow with their skin as compared to others who have never encountered acne at all. Though the results were observed during clinical settings, the cause remained unclear.
The researcher added that the reason can be length of telomeres. Acne sufferers have got different length of telomeres which keeps their skin protected against aging. Telomere is a type of DNA that protects the end of chromosomes. These are something similar to tiny plastic caps along the end of shoelaces that aid in keeping it protected from fraying.
During every cell division, the telomere gets short in size until a point that it can no more replicate.
