Rains or thundershowers expected in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rains in one or two places due to convection in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Since the south west monsoon rains have intensified there is severe rainfall in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana.
As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, the districts Kanyakumari, Theni, Nilgiris and Tirunelveli situated along the Western Ghats are receiving good rains.
An official of the Meteorological Centre has mentioned: There will be rains in one or two places due to convection in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. There are rains in Kanyakumari, Theni, Nilgiris and Kovai districts due to south west monsoon. As far as Chennai is concerned, the sky will be cloudy.
