Weather update - Rain or thundershower over North Tamil Nadu

Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rain or thundershower at a few places over North Tamil Nadu. The peak of the summer sun Kathri season began on 4th May and came to an end on 28th May. Even before the Kathri could commence, the intensity of heat was more. At this juncture, due to low pressure in the Bay there were rains for 2 or 3 days during the Kathri season. In spite of this, the temperature was 100 degree Fahrenheit in some cities including Chennai, Thoothukudi, Madurai and Trichy.
Now the Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places over North Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukottai,Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Erode, Karur, Tiruchirapalli, Ariyalur, Perambalur districts) and Puducherry.
