Chennai Rains Update - Deep Depression near to Chennai Coast

The Deep Depression is close to Chennai coast, the area around the centre has got very intense convection, soon this will intensify into Cyclonic Storm (if it becomes it will be named Roanu) and move away from chennai coast. As it spins away, most of the cloud bands continues to fall over Chennai. Radar Picks up the centre of the Deep Depression just parallely north of Chennai coast.
Massive bands have fallen over Chennai region, Chennai City has crossed 100 mm rainfall (standalone) and close to 200 mm rainfall from day before yesterday night. Will putup the rainfall quantum separately.
How long the rains will last in Chennai
This steady and drizzle type rains with breaks may continue till afternoon but as the system moves away we can see rains reducing further, tomorrow we can see sunny day.
