SANGARSH 2016 to raise funds for Pediatric Acute Leukemia

The 14th edition of the annual fund raising musical concert, SANGARSH, organized by the Rotaract Club of CEG Guindy, Anna University will be held on Saturday, 2nd April 2016 at The Music Academy from 5.30pm onwards. This year SANGARSH 16 in association with the Ray of Light Foundation plans to financially support and create awareness on Pediatric Acute Leukemia.
The children affected with blood cancer will receive the required therapy and medication through the funds raised from the event. Singers who will perform at the concert are Tippu, Ajeesh, Anthony Daasan, Nivas K Prasanna etc and the music band is AD & the Band. Tickets are priced at Rs. 200, 500 and 1000 and are available online at ticketnew.com, explara.com, eventjini.com and www.sangarsh.rceg.in. Around 2000 music lovers comprising of students and public will be the audience. Sponsorship opportunities are available and the event partners can take the 80G exemption.
A number of leading personalities from Chennai have become patrons like Padma Bhushan Dr. Kamal Haasan, the Mozart of Madras A.R.Rahman, Maestro Ilayaraja and others. This year, Actor Vishal has joined the patrons. So far, Sangarsh has raised more than INR 60 Lakhs to assist the poor and needy. Few of the projects that Sangarsh undertook in the previous years include renovation of homes like Karunai Illam, Shelter homes, Annai Shri Sharadha Home, Government Higher Secondary School, Thirumullaivayal and also raising funds for the Thalassemia welfare association, Haemophilia Society, etc.
