Scorching heat even before onset of summer - agony for the people

The impact of the coming (hottest) summer is already being felt in Tamil Nadu.
The people have resorted to nature drinks. So, the road-side shops selling tender coconut, cucumber, and watermelon are doing roaring business.
Summer effect is strongly impacted even before its onset in several parts of Tamil Nadu. It is usual to experience scorching heat during the months of April & May - however, the same effect is being felt as early as the 2nd week of March.
In Thiruneveli district, temperature has crossed 102 Degrees over the last 2 weeks , So, the people are compelled to seek natural drinks such as buttermilk and tender coconut.
Other items like padhaneer (extracted from palm trees), gruels made from rye & ragi are also popular.
As red tender coconut contains medicinal properties, this is also quite popular.
As cucumber has more water content as compared to watermelon, and even better for health, the sales of cucumber has shot up in all road side shops.
It is worth noting here that by avoiding drinking imported cool drinks which are harmful to health, it would be far better for our own health to natural drinks grown by our farmers by which they will also benefit.
