Light to moderate rain would occur at a few places of Tamil Nadu

The North East Monsoon in Tamil Nadu will withdraw on 31st December. Sometimes it may extend up to January 5th. This monsoon, Tamil Nadu saw very heavy rains and people are really scared of rains now.
When asked an official of Meteorology Department that whether there will be rains in the next few days, he mentioned that there is a low depression in the Arabian Sea and because of this there will be rains in South Tamil Nadu today. Light to moderate rain would occur at a few places over Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin Kanyakumari, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and fair weather will prevail over remaining districts of Tamil Nadu on 27th and 28th.
