United Nations Info: Excess rains to continue till February in Tamil Nadu due to El Nino Effect

As per the recent United Nations Report, more rains are expected in South India due to El Nino Effect.
In a report regarding El Nino effects for the year 2015-16, it has reported that the central and southern part of South India will be affected by incessant heavy rains and floods.
The report has cautioned that countries like Cambodia (Kampuchea), Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand may suffer excessive damages to rains and floods.
It estimates that there would be more than average rainfall in the Sri Lanka and Maldives Region which may cause floods.
While there may be excessive rains in the above areas, the report also mentions that some of the Pacific Islands including Papua New Guinea would experience severe drought conditions.
