- Totally 53 cm rainfall in Tamilanadu in this northwest monsoon till now.North coastal areas of Tamilnadu receives heavy rains for 3 to 4 days. Inner Tamilnadu districts will receive rains for next 3 to 4 days.Till Now 16 CM in Parangipettai and 15 CM in Marakkanam. Tamilnadu and Pondicherry receives rain for next 4 days.
- Chennai Metereological Department Director S.R.Ramanan says, Heavy rains espect in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram Districts for next 4 days.
- Day to Day life of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram District peoples were totally collapsed.due to low pressure depression over bay of bengal.
- Kosasthali river is flooded, Chrompet General Hospital is surrounded by floods,patients in the hospital are moved to other hospitals.
- Rescue works are intensified in Samiyarmadam, Tambaram, Mudichur by boats.2 rescue team from Thakkolam near Arakkonam is arrived to rescue the peoples surrounded by floods.

- Due to low pressure in South West Bay of Bengal, there will be continuous rains in Tamil Nadu for the next 8 days.
- There are heavy rains from the wee hours in Chennai. Due to this there is heavy water stagnation. Because of the vehicles are moving in small place in the areas such as Guindy, Vadapalani, Saidapet, Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur, Mylapore and Foreshore Estate.
- A BBC weather report says, Concerns over potential flooding as up to 500mm of rain may fall in next few days in areas around Chennai.
- Tambaram & ECR to face high intensity rain today. 100 mm / hr rain intensity from Mahabalipuram to Tambaram for the last 2 hours. Heavy rain expected. Better to take off for people working in ECR & Chengalpet.
