Train, bus services to resume soon in Tamil Nadu

The State Government of Tamil Nadu is planning more relaxations to the lockdown restrictions.
Thus, the state government is planning to resume the operation of public transport- train and bus services.
Reliable sources inform that non-AC train services in four routes Coimbatore - Mayiladuthurai, Villupuram - Madurai, Trichy - Nagercoil, and Katpadi - Coimbatore would commence soon. Officials are taking steps to ensure social distancing and other necessary measures.
In a similar procedure, the bus services would also be resumed soon. It is learnt that the State government has recently requested the Centre to operate non-AC special trains within Tamil Nadu, connecting important railway stations, other than Chennai Egmore and Tambaram.
Based on this, the Southern Railway has sought permission from the Railway Board to run four trains.
