Moderate Rain Likely in Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur and Surrounding Districts for the Next 2 Hours: IMD
Due to variations in the easterly wind pattern, the Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted moderate rainfall at a few isolated places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on Tuesday, December 9.
According to the forecast issued by the Chennai Meteorological Centre, the sky over Chennai and its suburban areas is expected to remain partly cloudy, with a possibility of light rain in some localities.
Rain Alert for the Next 2 Hours
In a latest nowcast warning, the weather department has stated that for the next two hours (until 10 AM), moderate rain is likely in the following districts and regions:
- Cuddalore
- Mayiladuthurai
- Thanjavur
- Tiruvarur
- Nagapattinam
- Karaikal
Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious, especially during early morning travel, as brief spells of rain may cause slippery roads and minor traffic disruptions.
