What has happened till now regarding counselling for engineering admissions in TN?

The counselling formalities for admission to various engineering colleges across TN have come to an end. On Sunday, the final list of students who would be joining the engineering colleges would be released.
On 10th September, the first round of counselling began for engineering admissions TNEA 2022. It was mentioned by a senior officer from DOTE that a merit list for 1.56lakh students was prepared before counselling began. For those government quota availed students 22099 totally, a separate rank list was also prepared.
The senior officer later spoke about how a total of 4 rounds of counselling were conducted and how students who have secured rank from 94621 to 156278 took part in the counselling.It is learnt that all counselling sessions have completed and the final list would be out on 13th of November 2022. On this day itself, a separate consolidated list of students who have availed govt quota would also be released.
Point is that after releasing the final list those students who took part in the final counselling round were allocated engineering seats. These students would be paying their fees in their allocated engineering colleges. To help the students get almost a full academic year of study, a circular will be released to the engineering colleges across the state in November last week.
