Whenever we think of a baby what come to our mind are their cuteness and their soft beautiful skin. It is for this reason we all love to take the babies in our hands. Soon winter season would arrive and baby would need lots of extra care and attention. During winter time the temperature falls down and this could cause dry skin in the babies. There are many skin issues a baby gets during winter time because of their delicate skin.

There are some effective methods by which babies could be protected from dry skin issue.

Massaging with oil:

Skin dryness could be reduced and softness of skin could be improved by means of massaging with oils.  Olive oil massage is very good for the babies as this oil soothes the baby’s skin and also improves their skin tone.

Reduction in bath time during winters:

This is one important way to protect the baby from dry skin issue. Lukewarm water must be used to bathe the baby once in 2 days. When the water is very hot then it could hurt the baby. Bathing a baby for longer periods of time could strip the moisture off the skin. Hence it is important to reduce the bathing time of the babies in the winter season.

Using cleansers:

Post bath dryness in the skin of baby could be avoided by using cleanser with aloe vera, almond oil and milk. Soothing of excess dry skin is possible by this cleanser.

Using moisturising lotions:

By locking in the moisture and by keeping the skin hydrated, moisturising lotions play an important role after bathing the baby. It is advisable to use moisturising lotions that are enriched with natural oils.

Using creams:

The skin of the baby gets conditioned and protected by using cream with goodness of country mallow and licorice. The baby gets protected from the dry skin issues.

Do not wrap the baby:

This is also one important method or way to protect baby from dry skin in them. The baby must not be wrapped in woollen blanket or sweater directly. The rough fibre present in blanket or sweater might cause issues to the skin of the baby.
