Chennai Airport Terminal 3 to Feature 10 Luxury Suites for Transit Passengers
Transit passengers at Chennai Airport can soon enjoy a more comfortable travel experience. The upcoming Terminal 3, currently under construction, will feature 10 luxury suites equipped with premium amenities similar to those found in star hotels.
Chennai Airport serves as a major international gateway, connecting travelers to destinations such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, the UAE, Germany and several European countries. Many domestic and international passengers use Chennai as a transit hub and often spend several hours inside the airport while waiting for connecting flights.
Due to passport and visa restrictions, transit passengers are generally unable to leave the airport during long layovers. To address this issue, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has planned dedicated luxury accommodation within Terminal 3, allowing passengers to rest comfortably without exiting the airport.
The proposed suites will offer modern facilities and are expected to be managed by a leading private star hotel operator. The move is aimed at enhancing passenger convenience and improving the overall travel experience at Chennai Airport.
