Studies revealed that fasting or eating in certain hours reduces our body fat

It is well known that the presence of excess fat could lead to many health issues like heart attack, stokes, certain cancers, sleep apnea, kidney plus liver diseases etc. So enough care must be taken by those having excess weights

University of Illinois in Chicago, USA is highly popular university that has been producing many skilled students over the years.  Many research activities have been going in this university is well known. Recently the researchers of this university conducted a research on the fasting and its effect on reducing the weight.  It is now said that fasting daily could reduce the weight as well as the blood pressure in us.

The time restricted eating of obese persons was carried out by the researchers of this university. In this study the obese persons consumed food at the selected time or hours in a particular day. It must not be forgotten that during Ramzan, Muslims do fasting and this time restricted eating by obese persons are compared with Ramzan time.

For the study as many as 23 obese persons were selected and their average age was 45. The average body mass index or BMI was 35. These 23 persons were allowed to eat whatever they wished in a certain time period from 10 am to 6 pm and in the next 16 hours of time these 23 persons were allowed to have water or calorie free beverages. The human samples were observed for a time period of 12 weeks.

In the end it was concluded that this time restricted eating made the participants to consume 350 lesser calories and they lost 3% weight. Moreover the systolic BP of these individuals reduced by 7mm of mercury.

According to Krista Varady who is a associate professor for Kinesiology and nutrition in UIC College of Applied Health Sciences, there are many options to lose weight that do not include calorie counting or elimination of certain foods. He also termed this diet routine as 16:8 diet where the persons are involved in 16 hours of fasting followed by 8 hours of feasting. The main advantage of this process is it is easy to follow when compared to other weight loss methods.
