Chembarambakkam Lake Water Release Increased Amid Heavy Rain Warning

The Chembarambakkam Lake authorities have increased the release of surplus water as a precautionary measure against heavy rainfall. The water discharge has been raised from 300 cusecs to 600 cusecs to manage rising water levels.
Currently, the inflow into the lake is approximately 100 cusecs, and officials are monitoring the situation closely to prevent any overflow and ensure the safety of nearby areas. Residents in low-lying regions have been advised to remain cautious and stay updated on weather alerts.
