Over 8500 applications received so far for admission to the graduate course in Veterinary Science

Over 8500 applications have been received so far for admission to the graduate courses offered on Veterinary science.

There are 4 veterinary colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu located in Chennai, Namakkal, Tirunelveli, and Orathanadu functioning under the Tamil Nadu veterinary science University.

There are 460 seats available for the integrated courses of 5 and a half-year for veterinary medical and maintenance (BVSC-AH and B. Tech.

In this situation, the registration for applications to join the above courses for the academic year 2019-20 commenced on 8th April. It was also announced that the applications may be submitted until 5.45 PM on 10th June. For the Indian candidates settled abroad, the deadline was extended until 1st June.

So far, right from the commencement of the registration as above, 7488 candidates have applied for BVSc-AH and 1268 candidates have applied for the B. Tech. course as per the notification released by the Veterinary Medical science University.

The rank/merit list of the candidates will be released during the month of June on the website: www.tanuvas.ac.in.

Subsequently, the counselling for the candidates is scheduled to be conducted from 9th July to 11th July. The counselling for the BVSC-AH (Special category and industrial category) is scheduled on 9th July. The counselling for BVSc-AH  (arts category) will be conducted on 10th July, The counselling for the courses on Food, Dairy Development, Chicken technology will be conducted on 11th July.
